"Eco Challenge!" Contest

"Eco Challenge!" invites individuals to share their ideas and practices for realizing eco-conscious lifestyles. Awarding and widely publicizing outstanding examples of eco-lifestyle that integrates environmental considerations into day-to-day living will prompt many others to adopt eco-conscious lifestyles.

From the businesses point of view, ideas for eco-conscious lifestyles may contain seeds for new types of green business. Thus, the "Eco Challenge!" Contest could also serve as a venue for information provision and marketing by introducing consumer needs to enterprises seeking green business opportunities.

Eco-Conscious Community "Genki Grand Awards 2008"

The Eighth Eco-Conscious Community "Genki Grand Awards 2008" (sponsored by NPO GENKI Net for Creating a Sustainable Society) will be held as part of "eco japan cup 2008". The "Genki Grand Awards" invites innovative community initiatives that protect local environment. Environmental activities that revitalize the community will be awarded.

Eligibility
Open to groups working to build a sustainable society based on the spirit of partnership, including citizens groups, organizations, business operators, non-profit organizations, and network of groups involving local government. (Not open to individuals)
